Unearthing the Gift

I have been wanting to share this imagination exploration with you all for a while now. But the energy of the summer months was not lending itself to dreaming and visioning.

The beginning of the fall season, with it’s slow descent into the darkness, feels like the perfect season for practicing some imaginal realm magic and creation.

I was inspired to create this offering because I, like many of you, often feel overwhelmed, disillusioned, and disempowered by the current state of the world.

And my magical studies have taught me the importance and the power of our mind, intentions, and actions. The importance of using our mind as a creation tool to vision a different reality for all of life on earth.

I want to clarify that this is not some Law of Attraction bs, it’s not just positive thinking, or spiritual bypassing. Imagining and visioning is only a small part of what is actually needed in these times, but it is an essential first step, one without which we can’t hope to create a new reality.

I will come right out and say that I my values are pro-people and planet, and against corporations, systems of oppression, and nation-states. I hold the perspective that the current world is set up to control and disempowered all of us, even those who think they are being privileged by the perpetuation of the status quo.

As a result, I want to make a few invitation as you consider joining this journey.

• I invite you to decenter humanity. We humans think the world exists for our benefit and pleasure, and we can’t conceive of a reality where we are not the center of the universe.

• I invite you to be okay with not knowing. Our constant search for certainty and our inability to remain with the mystery and relate to the invisibles has led us to our current state.

• I invite you to be curious. After you are okay with not knowing, it’s important to get curious, but also knowing that while you follow your curiosity, you might not get to a point where you feel you know or have certainty.

• I invite you to create space. For what, you might ask, I’m not sure, but make space for whatever wants to come up for you, it will be different for everyone. While we are taking this journey together, we might end up in different destinations, different places of not knowing, and that is okay.

How will this work?

This exploration will be a series of blog posts, videos, podcasts, poems, and/or art following a series of prompts. The posts will be available as a password protected page here on my website, and also will be sent to you via email. Because I don’t believe in grind culture and overworking ourselves, this exploration will be slow paced to allow time for reflection and integration. There will be an average of 2-3 prompts per week to explore. This exploration will go from October 1st, 2021 to October 31st, 2021.
